The Marriott Member Authorized rate (MMA) — 50–70% off published rates with the widest property availability in the program. Issued through a spouse authorization in MGS, confirmed in your name, with Bonvoy points credited. MMP and MMF also available as alternates.
Marriott runs three authorized insider rate codes: MMA (Member Authorized — spouse rate, top tier), MMP (Management Program — manager rate), and MMF (Friends & Family, lighter). We default to MMA whenever it's available — it's the deepest discount with the widest property availability.
The Marriott Member Authorized rate — the top-tier insider discount, issued through an associate's spouse authorization. Same depth as MMP (50–70% off) but with the widest property availability of any Marriott rate. This is the rate we default to whenever it can be authorized for your stay.
The Marriott Management Program rate — same discount depth as MMA, but issued through a manager's personal authorization. In 2026 Marriott tightened MGS authentication, so Hotel Insider works only with verified, in-good-standing managers. Used when MMA isn't available for the specific property or dates.
The official Friends & Family rate. Lighter discount, but easier to authorize through any eligible associate — useful when MMA and MMP allocations are exhausted or the property has tighter management quotas. Same Bonvoy earning rules.
Marriott runs three authorized insider rate codes inside the same MGS portal — each with different depth, authorization rules, and use cases. Tap a rate below to see exactly how it works and what you'll pay.
MMA stands for Marriott Member Authorized rate — the top-tier insider discount inside Bonvoy. It's issued through an associate's spouse authorization, applied in Marriott Global Source (MGS).
Discounts run 50–70% off the published rate — the same depth as MMP. A Ritz-Carlton suite at $1,200 might book for $360–$480; a Sheraton at $300 for $90–$150.
The key advantage over MMP: availability. MMA has the widest property and date availability of any Marriott insider rate. This is the rate we default to whenever it can be issued for your stay.
The widest property and date availability of any Marriott insider rate — open at flagship and peak-season properties where MMP is maxed out.
Base points, bonus points, elite night credit, and elite benefits (lounge, upgrades, breakfast) all post normally.
The majority of Hotel Insider Marriott bookings confirm at the MMA rate. The default — and usually the right answer.
MMP stands for Marriott Management Program — the same depth as MMA (50–70% off) but issued through a manager's personal authorization rather than a spouse authorization.
Discounts run 50–70% off the published rate, identical to MMA. The difference is availability: MMP has tighter property and date availability because it's tied to individual manager authorizations.
We use MMP when MMA isn't issuable for a specific property or date — they're equivalently deep, so the price you pay is the same.
Identical 50–70% off discount — the price you pay is the same. Used when MMA isn't authorisable for the specific property or dates.
Base points, bonus points, and elite night credit all post normally. Elite benefits apply.
Manager-discretionary. Each booking is approved individually by a manager, so availability narrows at peak dates and flagship properties.
MMF stands for Marriott Friends & Family rate — the lightest authorized insider rate, but the easiest to issue. Any eligible Marriott associate can authorize MMF for guests.
Discounts run 20–25% off the published rate. Lighter than MMA or MMP, but still meaningful — and it nearly always clears when peak-season demand makes the deeper tiers unavailable.
Any eligible associate can issue MMF — not just managers or their spouses. Best availability at peak-season properties.
Same rules as MMA and MMP. Add your Bonvoy number at booking and earn normally.
The rate that nearly always clears when MMA and MMP are unavailable. We coordinate across our network so member access isn't constrained.
Marriott Bonvoy spans 30+ distinct brands across four tiers. MMA, MMP, and MMF rates all apply across the entire portfolio — anywhere Marriott operates, from a $99 Fairfield to a $4,000 Bulgari suite.
All 30 brands are bookable at the MMA, MMP, or MMF rate. Properties operating on management contracts (rather than direct Marriott management) may opt out — we flag this in your quote.
Membership unlocks priority Telegram access and unlimited MMP & MMF bookings for the term you choose.

An MMF stay booked through Hotel Insider last month — pulled straight from a real member confirmation.
Hotel Insider covers Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt — each program runs differently. Pick the chain to see how it works.
MMP stands for Marriott Management Program — the deep insider rate used by Marriott managers for their personal stays. Discounts typically run 50–70% off the published rate, applied through a manager authorization in Marriott Global Source (MGS). It's the deepest authorized rate we book at any Marriott property.
MMP is the manager-level rate — deeper discount (50–70% off), authorized by management. MMF is the Friends & Family rate any eligible associate can authorize — lighter discount (~20–25% off) but easier to issue.
We default to MMP. When manager allocation is tight at a specific property or date, we fall back to MMF — and tell you which rate we used in the quote.
Marriott Global Source (MGS) — the internal portal used to issue MMP and MMF authorizations — added stricter authentication in 2026 to prevent unauthorized use. Many third-party "Marriott deal" sellers stopped operating. Hotel Insider works only with verified, active managers and associates whose authorizations are in good standing.
All 30+ Bonvoy brands. Message us for the specific property. Examples: The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, JW Marriott, W Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton, Westin, Edition, Autograph Collection, Le Méridien, Renaissance, Courtyard, AC, Moxy, and more.
Yes. Both MMP and MMF are "eligible rates" in Marriott Bonvoy — meaning base points, bonus points (where applicable), and elite night credit all post normally. Just add your Bonvoy number when we book the stay.
Your Bonvoy elite benefits apply on both MMP and MMF stays. If you're Platinum or higher, you'll still receive your status amenities (upgrades subject to availability, lounge access, late checkout). The discount stacks with your status — it doesn't replace it.
Standard property cancellation policies apply — most Marriott properties allow free cancellation up to 24–72 hours before check-in. We share the exact policy in your quote before you pay.
